Notice of Preparation: Draft Environmental Impact Report and Public Scoping Meeting for the Compton Station Transit Oriented Development Specific Plan

The City of Compton Community Development Department, Planning Division, as the Lead Agency under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), prepared an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the proposed Compton Station Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Specific Plan. The City requested identification of environmental issues and information that you or your organization believes should be considered in the EIR. The City conducted a scoping meeting for this Proposed Specific Plan. The Proposed Specific Plan would include the development of a Specific Plan to guide future growth in the vicinity of the Metro Blue Line.

We received feedback on the three alternatives from the Planning Commission on June 10. The alternatives were also presented to the City Council on July 28 and feedback is expected back in September.
